Tây Ninh has no coastline, yet it produced muối tôm (shrimp salt), famous across the whole country, and in Trảng Bàng town it has a trade known for bánh tráng phơi sương (dew-soaked rice paper) and for a family recipe for bánh canh. Tây Ninh cooking carries the mark of a dry, sun-beaten land, using ingredients brought in from elsewhere with enough skill to create specialities found nowhere else.
