Central Vietnam
Quảng Bình
Quảng Bình, land of the Lào wind and white sand, has a plain, thoroughly central-Vietnamese cuisine: bánh bột lọc, chewy and soft in its leaf wrapper; cháo canh, with thick noodle strands eaten with crisp ram; and khoai deo, the sweet, nutty country gift made from sweet potatoes grown on the Hải Ninh sand dunes.
