Sóc Trăng is where three communities — Kinh, Khmer and Hoa — meet, producing one of the most distinctive food cultures in the Mekong Delta: bún nước lèo carrying the soul of Khmer culture, the rich sweet bánh pía of Hoa origin, and the crisp bánh cống of the local Khmer people.
